Aldgate - A new centre for business

The Continued Development of Aldgate

The Aldgate business sector is currently undergoing a significant expansion, shifting from its historical focus on finance and insurance to a more diverse, 24/7 destination city. This transformation is driven by a massive influx of international corporations and the strategic oversight of the Aldgate Connect Business Improvement District (BID)

Major Commercial Growth & Key Occupiers

Aldgate has evolved into a strategic hub for global tech and professional services, moving away from being just an overflow area for the City of London.

Strategic Development & Infrastructure

The expansion is supported by large-scale regeneration projects that blend office, residential, and leisure spaces.

To ensure long-term viability, Tower Hamlets Council are moving towards a "Destination City" model.

In 2015, on the back of the previous Aldgate Masterplan, Hurford Salvi Carr opened their Aldgate Office at 61 Alie Street. We expect this new investment in the area to be of great benefit to local residents and real estate.
