Wittering House was built in 2017 and took 10 months to complete. The plot of land was originally a small derelict garage which measured a mere 6 meters by 7 meters in size. The owner transformed the garage into a three story house.
About the House
The property itself was the winner of The Evening Standards New Homes award in the category of Best London Home and is also the Grand Prix Winner. The Architect behind the building were Gpad who work on a number of Residential and Commercial buildings across the UK.
Wittering House is arranged over three levels and has a brick and bronze façade. As you walk into the house, you enter the spacious kitchen/reception room which leads onto the patio through the bi-folding doors.
On the first floor you have one double bedroom which is flooded with natural light, a walk in wardrobe with dressing table and an ensuite with his and her sinks.
In the basement, you have the second bedroom, study, utility room, family bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub and a second patio area. The property itself has been finished to an extremely high standard and benefits from alarm system, under floor heating, intercom system and ample storage throughout.
Location / Transport
It is ideally located close to several parks which include the well-known Finsbury Park which was one of the first great London parks laid out in the Victorian era and Clissold Park. Finsbury park station is moments away and serves the Great northern line, Overground, Thameslink and Piccadilly and Victoria Line. There is a variety of bars and restaurants nearby and these would include The Season Kitchen, Osteria Tufo and Finks Salt & Sweet
