Formerly the site of the Cannon Brewery, whose origin dates back to the early 1670’s, the Brewhouse Yard was known as the Horseshoe and was one of London’s largest breweries by 1759, with an annual output of 975,000 barrels.
The current Brewhouse Yard was designed by the architects Hamilton Associates with elevations having a modular arrangement of units clad in copper, Zinc and glass, which were completed in 2002 and consist of 198 apartments with a selection of one, two and three bedroom flats and five town houses built around a landscaped courtyard.
