About the Area

Limehouse is nestled between Wapping and Canary Wharf, and is largely residential. The main areas to Limehouse are the Limehouse Basin (and surrounding developments) and Narrow Street, which runs parallel to the River Thames. In fact you have access to several Thames and Canal walks and cycle routes, that take you to other parts of London and beyond. And they are certainly worth exploring if you have the time.

Canary Wharf, with its ample shopping opportunities is a short walk away along the Thames path. With its mix of retail and food/beverage, it offers something for all.

More local to Limehouse is “The Grapes” pub, which is part owned by Sir Ian McKellen, and the Gordon Ramsey owned “The Narrow”. Both of these establishments are well regarded and offer food as well as drink, along with a Narrow Street location offers extensive views up and down the River Thames.
