The commercial division specializes in the disposal and acquisition of substantial commercial space throughout the City, Docklands and the West End of London in cooperation with the company’s branch offices in those localities. The unique blend of interesting buildings, affordable rents and creative industries continues to attract commercial occupiers to Midtown and particularly Clerkenwell, where the commercial division is based.
2008 has seen a number of high profile fashion labels moving from the West End to ‘sought after’ locations in Clerkenwell (including Alexander McQueen and Timberland) and recently, Agent Provocateur retained Hurford Salvi Carr to acquire their corporate headquarters at 154 Clerkenwell Road.
Commercial tenants who have acquired space through Hurford Salvi Carr include such names as Biscoe & Stanton, Costcutter, Gresham Plc, Halpern Architects, Human Office (UK) Ltd, Internet Telecom Plc, Launch UK and Teleappliant Ltd. In addition the commercial division has been involved in such diverse transactions as the letting of the new Waitrose store in central Clerkenwell, the original disposal of the Sainsbury site in Farringdon Road, the sale of a City apartment block to Galliard Homes for £26m, and the disposal of commercial development sites in North West London.
