Ragged schools were charitable schools dedicated to the free education of destitute children.
This beautiful yellow brick building has now been converted to apartments and is launching on 19th September 2013. Clerkenwell has been overlooked by buyers who have been seduced by the West End and City, but no longer! Farringdon Station is part of the Thameslink and Crossrail transport programme due to be finished in 2018 and this have brought renewed vigour and fun to the area.
Being able to walk to the City or the West End is so convenient and being able to buy in a conversion in London especially Clerkenwell is almost non-existent. The little development that is The Ragged House is perfect for those buyers who want to live in the hub of activity and want to still have a tranquil curriculum (did you see what I did there!)
